Law - Bachelor of Laws - LLB (Hons)

The LLB (Hons) at University Centre Leeds will prepare you for a fast-paced and competitive market. We encourage excellence by providing you with extensive support, and offer an additional Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) qualification in your final year.

About the course

Our Bachelor of Laws degree combines compulsory and optional modules to form the basis of legal education in the UK. Our expert knowledge and industry-links lead to successful careers in a strong legal hub outside London. We emphasise personal development, and provide opportunities for you to choose and maintain your own specialisms within law.

During year three, you can complete modules for the optional CILEx qualification. This will allow you to practise law as a Graduate Fellow of CILEx. The CILEx qualification can be undertaken as an alternative route or as well as further study options such as the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC).

CILEx fees

There are additional fees associated with the CILEx qualification. Please note, this route is optional and doesn’t impact on the attainment of your LLB. The decision doesn’t need to be made until your second year of the degree. Please contact us for details of these fees.

This course is validated by The Open University and proud to be working in partnership with Michael Lewin Solicitors.
