LLB (Hons) in Law

Ready for a career in the vibrant and varied law industry? The LLB (Hons) at University Centre Leeds will prepare you for a fast-paced and competitive market. We encourage excellence by providing you with extensive support and offering an additional Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) qualification in your final year.

About the course

Our Bachelor of Laws LLB (Hons) combines compulsory and optional modules to form the basis of legal education in the UK. Our expert knowledge and industry-links lead to successful careers in a strong legal hub outside London. We emphasise personal development by providing opportunities for you to identify and pursue areas of law that you are passionate about.

During year three, you can also complete optional modules linked to the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) Graduate Fast-Track Diploma and can join CILEx as a graduate member and achieve an industry recognised qualification with no extra study.

CILEx fees

There are additional fees associated with the CILEx qualification. Please note, this route is optional and doesn’t impact on the attainment of your LLB. The decision doesn’t need to be made until your second year of the degree. Please contact us for details of these fees.

This course is validated by The Open University and proud to be working in partnership with Michael Lewin Solicitors.

We will continue to follow government guidelines to ensure the safety of all our students and staff and have put in place additional safety measures, including the way we deliver your course.

For Semester 1, we plan to deliver your course through a mixture of online and face to face tuition and we will review this as Government guidelines change in response to COVID-19 developments.

Under the present guidelines, we plan to deliver your course 50% online and 50% face to face. We will timetable, where possible, so that you come into University Centre Leeds for a whole day and you will be in a bubble with your fellow students on your course.

Face to face contact will be delivered following guidelines on social distancing and increased health and safety measures.  You will be made fully aware of the current measures in place and be expected to follow the guidance issued.
