University Centre Leeds, a member of Luminate Education Group, and St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, have established an academic progression arrangement for eligible students interested in pursuing medical education.

Students on the University Centre’s top up degree in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences have the opportunity to apply for admission to SGU’s four-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme. Applications will be considered in accordance with SGU’s standard admissions criteria and all applicable academic, regulatory, and programme requirements.
The top up degree at the University Centre enables students to become confident using industry-standard procedures and operating equipment, carry out a laboratory-based research project and gain extensive hands-on experience at the laboratory bench. Access to highly qualified staff with specialist knowledge supports enriched and personalised learning.
SGU School of Medicine offers an international and multicultural learning environment designed to help students develop medical knowledge, clinical skills, and professional behaviours. Students admitted to the MD programme may undertake eligible clinical training through SGU’s network of affiliated hospitals and health centres in the United States and the United Kingdom, subject to programme requirements, placement availability, and applicable policies.
