With an average satisfaction rate of 89.5%, and for the sixth year running, University Centre Leeds is revealed as the highest ranked university within the city for student satisfaction. This follows the Office for Students’ release of the annual National Student Survey.
In comparison with other higher education providers in Leeds that host over 50 students, University Centre Leeds ranks first across six out of seven categories, scoring particularly high for teaching (93.7%), learning opportunities (91.3%) and academic support (93.6%).
The survey also revealed high levels of satisfaction around student voice (83.3%), with University Centre Leeds nearly 10% ahead of other Leeds higher education providers.
Becky Fores, Dean of Higher Education at University Centre Leeds, said: “I’m thrilled we have retained our position as the higher education provider with the highest levels of student satisfaction in Leeds. Creating positive student experiences and strong learner outcomes is our sole purpose. Achieving such positive scores from our students demonstrates that our students recognise this.
“Looking ahead to next year, I am excited to see our new campus at Mabgate upgrade our teaching facilities and advance our courses. This upcoming campus will allow us to deliver high quality education and training to industry standards, that responds to local and national skills needs, for decades to come.”
The new University Centre Leeds campus at Mabgate is a part of a £27m development, which will also include a new building for Leeds City College’s adult provision and studio space for Leeds Conservatoire.
The National Student Survey 2025 gathered responses from over 357,000 final-year students. The feedback will help inform the choices of prospective learners when it comes to picking their HE destination, while also giving HE institutions some valuable insights to support improvement.
