Leeds Bradford International Airport is roughly eight miles from Leeds city centre.

Leeds Bus Station is just a short walk from all our campuses: around 20 minutes from Park Lane, 10 minutes from Mabgate, and only 2 minutes from Quarry Hill. With frequent city buses and excellent connections across Leeds, getting here is simple no matter where you’re coming from.

By Bus: Mabgate Campus is easy to reach by bus from across Leeds and nearby towns. From Leeds City Centre, you’re just a short walk away. It’s also simple to reach from key Leeds areas:

By Train: From Leeds Station it’s only 10 minutes on foot to campus, or you can hop on a quick bus or taxi if you prefer.

Regular trains connect Leeds with nearby towns and cities, including Wakefield, Castleford, and Pontefract, making commuting simple and convenient. Once you arrive in Leeds, the city’s bus network and walkable streets make getting to Mabgate Campus straightforward.

On foot: Mabgate Campus is just a 10-minute walk from Leeds city centre. Stretch your legs, enjoy the city buzz, and get a fresh start to your day – all for free!

Walking is a great way to catch up with friends, avoid traffic, and sneak in a bit of exercise along the way.

By Car: While there’s no parking on site, our city-centre location means you’ll find plenty of public car parks close by.

Mabgate is well connected to major routes into Leeds, including the A64(M), A58(M), and M621, making it easy to reach from surrounding areas and towns such as Wakefield, Castleford, and Pontefract.

Nearby car parks include:

  • Mabgate Car Park (St Cecilia Street) – just a few minutes’ walk from campus
  • Edward Street Car Park
  • The Markets NCP – close to Quarry Hill and a short walk to Mabgate
  • Q-Park at The Headrow or St John’s Centre

If you’re travelling from further out, Leeds also has several Park & Ride sites (such as Elland Road and Temple Green), offering frequent buses into the city centre – a stress-free way to avoid traffic and city-centre parking costs.

By Bus: Quarry Hill Campus is right next to Leeds Bus Station, so it’s one of the easiest campuses to reach by bus.

From Leeds City Centre, you’re just steps away. Regular buses also connect from key Leeds areas including:

By Train: Leeds Station is the nearest rail hub, with frequent services from Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, and other towns across West Yorkshire.

From the station, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Quarry Hill, or just a few minutes by bus or taxi.

On foot: Just 2 minutes on foot from Leeds Bus Station at the heart of the city, pop out, breathe in the city air, and you’re there before you know it. Walking keeps you active and gives you a moment to enjoy the surroundings.

By Car: There’s no parking at Quarry Hill, except for blue badge holders and visitors, but our central location means you won’t be stuck for options. With the A64(M), A58(M), and M621 all close by, it’s easy to drive into the city from places like Wakefield, Castleford, and Pontefract.

Nearby car parks such as The Markets NCP and Crown Street Car Park are only a few minutes’ walk from campus, so you can park up and be in class quickly.

If you’d rather avoid city traffic altogether, Leeds has handy Park & Ride sites at Elland Road and Temple Green, with frequent buses straight into the centre.

By Bus: Getting to Temple Newsam campus by bus is simple, with a direct route available from Leeds Bus Station or the 19/19A service which stops close by.

By Train: If you’re travelling to Leeds via train, your connecting bus to Temple Newsam Campus is just a 10-minute walk away. Simply head to Leeds Bus Station and catch the TN1 bus direct to campus.

On foot: Temple Newsam Campus is located on the outskirts of the city centre, about 5 miles away and can take around 1 hour 30 minutes on foot. We recommend using the TN1 college bus or buses from Selby Road and New Temple Gate in the city centre.

By Car: Temple Newsam Home Farm is easy to reach by car. Just follow signs for Temple Newsam from the A64 or M1, limited parking is available on site for visitors and students.
