Accommodation
We have load of low-budget friendly hotel options near to both Campuses.
- Roomzzz Aparthotel, Leeds City West is just an 8-minute walk away from our Park Lane Campus. Prices start at £94 for two people for the open day dates. Please note they charge £10 to park at this hotel.
- Holiday Inn Express, Kirkstall Road is a 9-minute walk away from our Park Lane Campus. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay here and there is a parking fee.
- Travelodge, Vicar Lane is a 5-minute walk away from our Quarry Hill Campus. You can stay here from £56 a night.
Breakfast
If you’re not having breakfast at your hotel, then not to worry Leeds has many breakfast options to fuel your day ahead.
- The Union Coffee House is located a 7-minute walk away from Park Lane Campus. Their breakfast is served till 3pm and their cakes served all day are Vegan.
- Visit Farmhouse for something a bit sweeter. With Acai bowls, pancakes and French toast there’s something there for those with a sweet tooth. Farmhouse is located in the City Centre, 15 minutes' walk from Park Lane Campus and a 10-minute walk from Quarry Hill Campus.
Shopping
Leeds is the perfect city to shop in, with Trinity Leeds, Corn Exchange and Victoria Gate - don’t say we didn’t warn you.
- Trinity, Leeds. Head to Primark with a Greggs Café, M&S and even Leeds United Football Club store is located here. This is a 14-minute walk from Park Lane Campus and only a 10-minute walk from Quarry Hill Campus.
Lunch
Again, Leeds is definitely not limited on lunch options. A favourite of ours is Leeds Kirkgate Market.
- Kirkgate Market, the one stop spot for all cuisine. From traditional fish and chips to a Yorkshire pudding wrap, Kirkgate Market has it all. This is a 6-minute walk from Quarry Hill Campus.
Culture
Leeds City has tonnes of culture, with many theatres, museums and historical places.
- Head to Leeds Art Gallery off The Headrow for free. The gallery is located in Leeds City Library which again is free and open to the public. Also, don’t miss out on the Tiled Hall Café, the perfect spot for your afternoon cup of tea.
- Another spot for culture is Leeds Dock. This is a 15-minute walk from Quarry Hill Campus, but it’s worth the steps. The Docks is home to the Royal Armouries and North Star Coffee Shop. Both great attenders for this itinerary.
Open Day
Of course, this is the itinerary for University Centre Leeds Open Day so make sure you head to Park Lane Campus for 4pm to register your attendance and explore everything we have to offer.
Dinner
After the Open event, we're sure you’ll want to think about your options over some great food.
- Finish your day with Kirkstall Brewery’s Taproom & Kitchen. 12 minutes away from Park Lane Campus.
- Or for some traditional Thai street food head to ZAAP. An 8-minute walk from Quarry Hill Campus.
