HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE STUDENT TESTIMONY
BA (Hons) Health and Social Care Graduate – Andie Khupe
Andie Khupe has been a student at Leeds City College since 2011 when she started
on the Health & Social Care Level 1 course at Thomas Danby College. She
completed this in 2012 and progressed on to level 2.
There was no stopping Andie’s determination to study and she embarked on the
Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care between 2013 and 2015.
Since then, she has completed her Foundation Degree in Social Care (Adult &
Community) level 4 and 5 and is currently half way through her top up to BA (Hons)
Health & Social Care level 6.
She has embraced being a student and is an ambassador for lifelong learning at 67
years of age. She has done voluntary work in Calais with The Red Cross taking
emergency supplies to the camps. She currently works as a volunteer at Burmantofts
Community Hub where there is a strong focus on integrating asylum seekers and
refugees into the community.
